If you are on a paid membership, you can switch between annual or monthly payments. If you cancel, you will automatically have a free membership.
Payment differences
Regardless of the change that you make, your payments will be pro-rated so that you are not double charged for any time.
Example:
You are a Plus member paying $19 per month
You upgrade to an annual membership ($189 per year) exactly halfway through the billing period
Your first annual payment will be reduced by the remaining portion of your current month ($189 - $9.50 = $179.50 for your first year, and $189 upon renewal)
How to change your membership
To change membership levels or payment periods:
Log into your account at PlainEnglish.com
Go to your Account page and choose "Subscriptions"
Click the link called "Change Plan" and select your new subscription
